Air Jordan 15 (XV) Retro – Black / Varsity Red | Available Now

I love this shoe! My purpose in purchasing it was for Air Jordan 15 classes. I found my regular sneakers sticking to the floor when we did quick movements from side to side. I have two total knee replacements so my foot sticking and throwing my knee is not a good idea. The Air Jordan 15 (XV) Retro – Black / Varsity Red were released on November 15, 2007, and retailed for $150. They feature an all black upper constructed from full grain leather, as well as a woven material which runs across the top half of the upper. The heel counter also features a red strip which runs vertically down it. The extension of the tongue is said to be inspired by Michael Jordan himself, as he would always stick out his tongue when he just about to skool you. The shoe itself is said to be inspired by the ultra fast X-15 Fighter Jet, which was developed by NASA during the 1950′s, but it’s hard to see the resemblance, as all we see is a very ugly shoe. Many acclaimed the white leather upper as the key component of that Retro, making the off-by-a-few Varsity Red color-blocking an afterthought. Here’s a comparison of the the black counterpart of the AJVI, pitting the January 2010 retro with the Infrared that is set to drop as part of the Air Jordan VI Infrared Pack.
