Lebron James was one of that last few NBA prospects to get drafted straight from high school, never taking the opportunity of getting a year of college ball under his belt.On May 6th, 2009, NBA Commissioner, David Stern,presented Lebron James of the Cleveland Cavilers with the NBA 2008-09 Most Valuable Player Award.
To commemorate this accomplishment, Nike will be releasing an exclusive Zoom LeBron VI (6).However, that’s not stopping him from reppin’ the University of Arkon in this new Nike Zoom Lebron VI (6) model. The shoe honors his hometown and the University of Akron with a navy/white/gold colorway, and various materials that include patent leather, smooth leather, and sections of woven fabric that showcases detailed graphics of the city streets.The “MVP” Nike Zoom LeBron VI (6) contains a cracked white upper with black details on the mesh tongue, Nike swoosh, midsole, and laces. The midfoot strap, toe area, and heel features the a wallpapered design of the word “Witness”. Other details include, gold accents around the midsole, tongue tags, lace locks, and a “MVP tab by the ankle.
This “MVP” Zoom LeBron VI is slated to release on May 30th for $150 as well as a Nike Witness Tee for $30.The Nike Zoom Lebron VI (6) “Akron” will release this Friday, March 13th, at the House of Hoops.
